This park is one of the ecological treasures of the San Francisco Bay Area. Experience the mountain’s beautiful wildflowers, extensive trail system, fascinating wildlife and distinctive rock formations. Ohlone Regional
Wilderness.
The remote and beautiful Ohlone Regional Wilderness—whose centerpiece is 3,817-foot Rose Peak, just 32 feet lower than Mount Diablo—is accessible only through the Ohlone Wilderness Trail. Traversing 28 miles of mountains and canyons in southern Alameda County, the trail is open to hikers and equestrians. Trail bicycles and motor vehicles are not permitted.
